Luna and scootaloo sculpture

This is an art trade with the fabulous she does amazing plushies, go check her out! Her favorite episode was Sleepless in Ponyville (a very awesome episode so I can understand why it is her favorite)

She wanted something with Luna and Scootaloo that also incorporated the rusty horseshoe from the episode. At first it was going to just be sitting on the base as a little extra bit but then I came up with the idea to have Scootaloo wearing it and grinning and both of them just all around having a good time. Ran it past Pinka and she liked the idea and I think it came out so adorable. 

Pinka also requested for it to be a woodsy type scene and specifically wanted a fern. So after tons of google images and research of all kinds of ferns I decided on doing a boston fern type one since I felt it would fit best and not be too in the way. That thing took forever, I think I spent more time sculpting that fern then I spent on Scootaloo XP but I am happy I did it since it was a new experience and I now know how to sculpt a fern  

If you notice I also decided to add a few poison joke from the wonderful episode Bridle Gossip where we meet Zecora for the first time. 

I hope you all like it. I haven't posted much lately and sculpting has been slow goings since I started a full time job on the graveyard shift so having to switch from being a morning person (yes I'm one of those freaks XP) to sleeping when I would usually be waking up is quite a change but I hope to get more into the swing of things and pump more stuff out for your pony viewing pleasure soon!
